So many things! All kinds of bags including wristlets, crossbody bags, handbags, tote bags, knit & crochet project bags, kit bags, makeup bags, zipper pouches, travel bags, work bags, backpacks, diaper bags, clean up clutches (mini diaper bags), phone wallets, tri-fold wallets, coin purses, and so many more.
Also: aprons, scrunchies, wrist rests / keyboard rests, scrub caps, and masks. We would love to hear about your project!
It's easy to place a custom order! Use the CONTACT US web form to send us a message. We will reach out to you to schedule a consult via text or phone, or in person - whatever you prefer. WisSotaGirl Designs has hundreds of fabrics to choose from, and we will work together to find just the right ones for your project.
Great question! First, we will talk about what kind of bag you'd like, what features you need and those you never use, and then we will discuss materials.
I'll come back with possible bag patterns that meet your specifications, and you will choose the design that works best for you.
Next, we will pick the fabrics. Generally, my customers like to choose the main exterior fabric and material - fabric, leather, canvas, vinyl, or cork are the main choices - and have me choose coordinating accent fabrics, and coordinating hardware and zippers. You can choose all or none of these things - the design of your bag is completely up to you. I will help you every step of the way.
Finally, I will work up a quote and timeline for what we have discussed, and we will discuss it & make any necessary changes to the design details. Once everything looks good, I'll send an invoice or create an custom listing for you, and you'll pay up front for your bag. You'll pay for shipping separately when it's ready to go home with you!
In general, 2-4 weeks. When we discuss your custom project, I'll give you a timeline including an estimated shipping or pick up date. The timeline is dependent upon a few things, including supplies that need to be procured, how many other custom items I have in the queue, how many in person shows I have coming up, and, in general, how busy my own schedule is. WisSotaGirl Designs is not my full time job. I do this work on nights and weekends. I will do whatever I can to accommodate your project if it has a specific deadline (like a baby shower or Holiday gift).
We accept payment through major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, as well as PayPal.
Yes, we offer international shipping to select countries. Please contact us for a shipping quote.
Generally, we do not accept returns because most of our items are custom made to your specifications, and we check in with you about all design and production details to gain agreement before we create your item.
For ready to ship items, we will fix any problems due to worksmanship for up to 45 days after you have received your item. After that time, we may accept the item for repair or replacement at our discretion. There will be no repairs made to any item after 180 days from receipt of item.
If the item cannot be fixed, we may replace it, or refund all or a portion of your payment at our discretion. If the item needs repair due to our error in worksmanship, we will cover shipping to and from the customer. If we choose to repair an item after 45 days, customer covers shipping to and from us.
For custom orders, no cancellations. We make each of these items specifically for you, and the work involved starts soon after your purchase with the acquisition of fabrics & supplies needed for your order. If your situation has changed, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can reach a reasonable compromise.
Construction Failures are the fault of the maker and are therefore covered repairs, but wear and tear issues are not covered repairs.
Examples of construction failures include, but are not limited to, zipper teeth failures, seams unraveling, and popping rivets.
Construction failures do NOT include abrasions, tears not on a seam, stains, or zipper pull failures, as these are signs of use and not the fault of the maker.
If you encounter a construction failure more than 45 days after receipt or through normal usage, please contact me to see if it still might be repairable for a small fee. The sooner you contact me, the more likely it is that I have that fabric available for a repair.
My greatest desire is that this bag becomes a treasured piece of your wardrobe that you proudly carry for many years to come.
